The Merseyside Maritime Museum is located near Albert Dock in Liverpool. It was initially opened in 1980 and was later expanded in the year 1986.
The museum is famous for its commercial and social history of the port of Liverpool.
Many objects of interest can be found here, such as ship models, maritime
paintings, posters from the famous age of liners and even actual ship replicas.
Several exhibitions are organized every year and the major current
exhibition that is worth visiting is Titanic and Liverpool: The Untold Story. Here, visitors can discover the connection
between Liverpool and the most famous vessel in history.
Other museums can be found near Albert Dock, such as the International Slavery Museum, which had welcomed more than 4 million visitors.
